Waterhen Forestry Products LP
Waterhen Forestry Products LP supplies wood to Mistik Management and has contracts to supply logs to the NorSask and Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Ltd located 9.6 kilometres east of Meadow Lake. WLFN has invested in and supplies logs to two members-owned sawmills. Waterhen Forestry employs 42 people, with 59% of employees being members of the Waterhen Lake First Nation.

Our History
1994
Waterhen Forestry Formed
Began harvesting within Waterhen Fur block to supply wood for NorSask Forest Products and the Meadow Lake Pulp Mill. Started as a semi-mechanical operation with one Delimber and two Skidders.
1995
Hawk Fire
After the Hawk Fire, Waterhen Forestry purchased a Feller Buncher and began full mechanical harvesting.
1999
Road Maintenance
Acquired a grader and began maintaining our own logging roads.
2000
Building Roads
Acquired a Dozer and began to build our own roads as well.
2012
Hauling
Purchased 7 trucks and trailers and the shop in Meadow Lake. Began hauling our own wood to the mills. This made Waterhen Forestry the only fully stump and dump contractor working for Mistik Management.
2018
Trucking Manager Hired
Gerald Fiddler hired to manage the truck fleet and is now in his 4th year.
2019
Waterhen Forestry Products LP formed
The Waterhen Forestry Products LP restructured its operation.
