Serving our Community

Waterhen Lake First Nation (WLFN) is a signatory to Treaty 6 signed on November 8, 1921. WLFN is a Cree community on the shore of Waterhen Lake, located 39 km north of Meadow Lake and east of the Meadow Lake Provincial Park in northwest Saskatchewan.

The Waterhen Lake First Nation Development LP is committed to serving the Nation in Economic Development. Our company has investments in Tourism, Forestry, Retail and Construciton. 

We are committed to developing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of the Nation while maximizing business growth opportunities for all of our ventures.

Our Ventures

We currently operate five business entities and are exploring several expansion opportunities.

Waterhen Forestry Products 

We supply wood to Mistik Management and have contracts to supply logs to the Norsask & Meadow Lake Mechanocal Pulp Mill.
